T5 Data and Artificial Intelligence in Action: Balancing Innovation and Safety
Artificial intelligence (AI) has quickly become a transformative force across industries. In this session, panelists will explore the data and AI lifecycle and discuss how AI is reshaping both the nuclear industry and the NRC. Come and hear how the NRC and the nuclear industry are tapping into data and AI to improve regulatory tools to make smarter, more accessible applications. Panelists will discuss realworld examples of developing foundational models to support drafting regulatory documents and smart search capabilities. You’ll also hear how the nuclear industry and its partners, both in the United States and internationally, are training large language models by using the NRC’s Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) data for specific applications. In addition, the panelists will discuss their own best practices for addressing common challenges related to data and AI.
