Adapting to Changes through Professional Curiosity

Office of Inspector General

The Office of the Inspector General proposes to have an in-person table set up outside the main session halls. Our table will run a video about what the OIG does and how it adapts to a changing landscape by asking the right questions. Whether it is our auditors, investigators, special agents, or technical advisors/engineers, our experts have learned to ask pertinent questions to get to the facts of a matter. The video will provide insight into how the OIG approaches its cases and will discuss how our OIG team is trained in interviewing and other techniques to draw information that will help us understand a situation clearly. We will have several OIG representatives on hand during the RIC from each of our disciplines—law enforcement, auditing, and engineering—so participants may ask questions. We also hope to be able to offer online participants the opportunity to ask questions of our team through a chat function from our video link on the RIC website.
