Scott Martzke began his career in public safety in 1984 as a fire fighter/emergency medical technician with the Grand Ledge Fire Department in Grand Ledge, MI, and in 1990 as a 911 operator with Eaton County Central Dispatch in Charlotte, MI. After retiring in 2015 with 55 combined years in public safety, Scott accepted the position of State emergency manager for the Michigan Army National Guard in 2014 and in 2022 was reassigned to the position of State antiterrorism manager. He was responsible for all-hazards planning, and antiterrorism duties, at over 50 National Guard locations statewide. In 2023, Scott accepted the position of Radiological Emergency Preparedness Analyst with the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Studies, a Master of Arts degree in Homeland Security/Emergency Management, and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership.
