Rachael Davis

Rachael Davis joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission(NRC) as a full-time Data Scientist in January 2023, following the completion of her Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach. As a data scientist, Ms. Davis analyzes licensing data to identify areas for process improvement and develops visualizations to assist in tracking key metrics and supporting data-driven decision making. In addition to her data science responsibilities, Ms. Davis serves as an Operating Reactor Licensing Project Manager, where she plans and coordinates technical and regulatory reviews in alignment with agency objectives. She plays a key role in identifying opportunities to integrate generative AI into licensing processes, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the NRC’s mission. As a prompt engineer, Ms. Davis develops and tests tailored prompts for project managers, facilitating the effective use of generative AI tools in day-to-day licensing activities. Her interdisciplinary expertise and innovative approach contribute to the continuous improvement of NRC programs and regulatory practices.
