Michael Schultheis
Mike Schultheis is the Director, Regulatory and Site Strategies at Palisades Power Plant for Holtec. In this role, Schultheis is responsible to ensure regulatory significant programs along with strategic performance are executed with a high level of quality. These programs include emergency preparedness, security, licensing, corrective actions and performance improvement, records management, leadership effectiveness and training.
Professional History
Schultheis has over 20 years of experience in nuclear power. His career began with the US Navy’s nuclear program in 1998, entailing qualification on different reactor platforms while performing leadership and instructional duties. In 2008, he transitioned to the commercial nuclear industry at Brunswick Nuclear Plant as an operations instructor. Here he grew into management roles associated with continuous improvement, ultimately transferring to Palisades Power Plant in 2015. Schultheis has participated on multiple nuclear plant evaluation teams including the U.S. and Russia.

Schultheis holds a Nuclear Engineering/Engineering Physics degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
