Kenneth Armstrong
Mr. Armstrong serves as the Acting Deputy Director of the Division of Systems Analysis in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES) at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
In 2005, Mr. Armstrong joined the NRC through the Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of roles across the agency, including Technical Reviewer, Reactor Systems Engineer, Technical Assistant, and Chief of the Code and Reactor Analysis Branch II. Mr. Armstrong has primarily worked in RES, with additional experience in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), and the Office of former Chair and Commissioner Hanson.
Mr. Armstrong earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
