The Honorable Thomas I. Vanaskie, served on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit for eight years. Prior to that he served as a district judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for 16 years, including seven years as chief judge. He is currently a member of Stevens & Lee’s litigation department and chairs the firm’s Appellate and Mediation, Neutral Services and Alternative Dispute Resolution practice groups. Judge Vanaskie received his B.A. from Lycoming College and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law. He was a law clerk for Judge William Nealon Jr. of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
