Tomoyuki Sugiyama
Dr. Sugiyama earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996. He joined Japan Atomic Energy Agency and has worked on reactor safety research. After the Fukushima Daiichi NPS accident, he engaged in discussions on the new regulatory requirements for power reactors and acted an NRA safety reviewer for two years. He has been in the current position since September 2022.
