Since 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the nuclear industry have engaged to modernize the NRC's instrumentation and controls (I&C) regulatory infrastructure. The cumulative effect of these modernization activities has provided significant advancements in the ability to implement digital I&C technology. For example, these activities will support the industry's transition from the use of analog to digital systems at nuclear power plants and support the NRC staff with reviewing and inspecting these digital modifications.  This digital exhibit summarizes the individual modernization activities to improve the I&C regulatory infrastructure.
