Andrea Kock
Ms. Kock serves as the Regional Administrator for NRC's Region I Office, located in King of Prussia, PA.
Ms. Kock joined the NRC in 1996 as a radiation specialist in Region III. Since then, she has served in progressively more responsible positions including; the Chief of the Environmental Review Branch, Chief of the Performance Assessment Branch, and Chief of the Financial and International Projects Branch. From 2010- 2013, Ms. Kock supported Commissioner William Ostendorff as a Policy Advisor for nuclear materials issues.
In 2014, Ms. Kock was selected into the Senior Executive Service (SES), serving as the Deputy Director, Division of Site Safety and Environmental Analysis in the Office of New Reactors. In 2016, she assumed the role of Deputy Director, Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery, and Waste Programs in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards. Since then, she has served as the Director, Division of Fuel Management, Director, Materials Safety, Security, State, and Tribal Programs and (most recently) as Deputy Office Director for Engineering for at NRR.
Ms. Kock received an M.S. in Environmental Health Science with a concentration in radiological health from the University of Michigan in 1996 and was a DOE Health Physics Fellow.
