Jinho Lee

Dr. Jinho LEE serves as a senior advisor at KINS (Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety). He joined KINS in 2000 and has held various key management and leadership positions including Executive Vice President (2018 to 2021) and Director of Safety Research Division. He also served as the heads of four departments, including Int’l Project Management Dept., Int’l Cooperation Dept., Mechanical & Materials Eng. Dept., and Legal Affairs & Safety Standards Dept. For 12 months starting in May 2004, he visited ANL (Argonne National Lab.) and performed joint research on steam generator tube integrity.

Dr. Jinho LEE served as a member of IAEA CSS (Commission on Safety Standards) and NUSSC (Nuclear Safety Standards Committee) from 2018 to 2023. Before joining KINS, he served in the military as a professor in Mechanical Eng. Department of Korea Military Academy. He received bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea.
