Kevin Williams serves as the Acting Director of the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR). Mr. Williams joined the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in September 2002, as a technical reviewer in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Division of Inspection and Program Management. In 2004, he transitioned to a technical reviewer position in the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR), Division of Preparedness and Response, and subsequently progressed through positions of increased responsibility. Mr. Williams has also successfully completed assignments as the acting Chief, Spent Fuel Storage and Transportation Branch, NMSS; Chief, New Reactor Licensing Branch, NSIR; Acting Deputy Director, Division of Preparedness and Response, NSIR; Director, Program Management, Policy Development and Analysis, NSIR; Acting Deputy Director, Division of Nuclear Materials Safety, Region IV; and Acting Deputy Controller, Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
