Matthew Rector

Matthew K. Rector serves as Constellation’s Director of Licensing for the Region I fleet. Mr. Rector brings more than 23 years of nuclear and non‑nuclear experience from various site and corporate leadership roles in Engineering, Regulatory Assurance & Environmental, Maintenance I&C, Chemistry, and Operations, where he previously held a Senior Reactor Operator license at the Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center. In his current role, Rector sets the licensing strategy and oversees licensing engagement, processes, and execution for Constellation’s six Mid‑Atlantic and Northeast sites in Region I, ensuring compliance with NRC requirements and supporting safe, reliable plant operation. His responsibilities include oversight of facility licensing, regulatory interpretation, long‑term licensing planning, support for plant modifications, and coordination of responses to NRC inspections and regulatory actions. Rector began his career in the U.S. Nuclear Navy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania with his wife and two daughters and spends his spare time outdoors and supporting his spouse’s multigenerational farm.
