Tim Knowles
Tim Knowles is the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Manager at Global Laser Enrichment where he leads the comprehensive regulatory compliance activities across multiple regulatory bodies including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Department of Energy (DOE). Tim is currently leading all licensing activities associated with the Paducah Laser Enrichment Facility (PLEF) NRC license application. Prior to joining GLE, he was the Director, Safety and Safeguards (2020-2024), and Licensing Manager (2017-2019) for Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS). Prior to joining NFS, he spent 10 years with URENCO, USA (UUSA) in a variety of roles. Prior to UUSA, Tim work in commercial nuclear power operations, and is a 10-year United States Navy veteran, as a nuclear submarine operator. Tim has a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering technology from Thomas Edison State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Norwich University.
